It's natural that herbevore animals are eaten by carnivorous ones. It's just the way the world has worked since day one. Sure, it's not pretty, it's not cute, but if you really care about your animal you'd give it the food it eats in the wild so it can become a healthy, adorable member of your family.
It would be even more cruel to release a domesticated snake so it could feed on wild mice, if that's what you mean. The snake would probably suffer because it's not used to the wild and doesn't know where to find food.
Anyway... Tangent. Very sharp photo! The scales look so nice.

just wanted to express the horrible thing your pic brong to my brain... i hate the cruelty of the humans eating meat and i hate the cruelty that some people do feeding their animals with other animals,as the same way a person say that he loves animals, and he just love his dog and they give him other animals like cows and chickens... and you can feed your animals with vegetal food!
